MOGADORE, Ohio – If you ever wanted to be Daryl Dixon from “The Walking Dead,” these are probably the products for you.
Just this week, TenPoint Crossbow Technologies, an industry leader in crossbow technology and performance, announced that it received its fifth best-in-class industry award in the ever-growing competitive crossbow market.
The reverse-draw Carbon Nitro RDX, one of four new crossbows from TenPoint in 2016, received Field and Stream magazine’s “Best of the Test” award and the Petersen’s Hunting magazine “Editor’s Choice Award.” Field and Stream editors noted, “At just 10 inches axle-to-axle, the RDX was certainly the handiest when cocked. Combine that with plenty of power, and impeccable fit and finish (not to mention very good looks), and the numbers added up to Best of the Test honors.”
The Carbon Nitro suggested retail price ranges from $1,599 to $1,799 depending on the accessories.
The forward-draw Turbo GT, another new model in 2016, was awarded the Outdoor Life magazine’s “Editor’s Choice Award” and the Game & Fish magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award. “The Bednar family of Ohio produces arguably the finest lineup of horizontal bows available,” noted Outdoor Life. “The Turbo GT has stellar ergonomics and a balance as good as any bow we’ve tested in the last five years.”
Turbo GT prices range from $799 to $999 depending on accessories.
Finally, the Wicked Ridge Warrior G3, priced at under $500, received the Field and Stream “Great Buy Award.” After four days of testing various crossbow models across various price-points, editors Scott Bestul and Will Brantley noted, “The Warrior G3 is an excellent shooter with a quality scope and fine trigger. A great value.”
According TenPoint CEO Rick Bednar, “Our business model revolves around listening to our consumers and providing them with the highest quality, top performing crossbow regardless of features or price. Taking home best-in-class awards with our reverse draw model, our forward draw model, and our budget model truly reflects that we have a crossbow for every consumer.”
Of course, we’re very curious how they stand up to a zombie horde. We’re thinking with Daryl handling one of these products, we’d feel sorry for the zombies.
