Website Offers Resources for Blogs and Social Media
HUMMELSTOWN, Pa. – Tract Optics, a new optics manufacturer and retailer, was awarded the Outdoor Life magazine “Great Buy” award for its flagship TORIC 10×42 binocular in the full-size category at the NRA National Convention in Louisville, Ky.
The optics test pits various manufacturers against a vigorous testing criteria to include resolution, low-light performance, image quality, mechanics, construction and durability, just to name a few. The TORIC came away the winner against submissions from Nikon, Steiner, Bushnell, Leupold, SIG, Trijicon and several others.
The company was launched late last year by optics industry veterans Jon Allen and Jon LaCorte, who offer more than 40+years of optics design, product development, marketing and advertising experience.
“We are extremely proud and honored to have won the ‘Great Buy’ award from Outdoor Life magazine, validating our commitment to delivering our customers a ‘best in class’ product and experience at a reasonable price,” said Co-Founder Jon LaCorte. “The standards used by the Outdoor Life test team set the bar extremely high, and to be recognized with this award in our first year is truly humbling.”
TRACT’s direct-to-consumer business model cuts out the middleman markup that retailers add on to the product, allowing the consumer to get a product with a level of quality that would likely cost hundreds of dollars more if available through retail outlets.
However, for those in the Survival Industry that are looking for affiliate opportunities, Tract has not ruled out that option in the future, LaCorte told Paratus Business News. “Since we are a direct-to-consumer brand, we are trying to eliminate a markup by a third party. I am not saying we have not discussed it or would never entertain this option, but right now we do not have this type of program.”
That said, TRACT’s comprehensive, educational website can serve as a resource for blogs, videos and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Available exclusively at tractoptics.com, the initial product offerings are the TORIC and TEKOA binocular models, three lines of riflescopes designed for hunting, a line of caliber-specific AR models, as well as rimfire models.
TRACT does have a retail store at its headquarters in Hummelstown.
