ABERDEEN, N.C. – Quantico Tactical stores announced an expanded product offerings to include Class III weapons and accessories for specially qualified customers.
Announced via e-mail on June 7, the gear and gun store’s new product lines include everything from short-barreled shotguns and rifles, suppressors and “machine guns.”
Some of these weapons are not available to civilians, and all require special federal and local law enforcement approval as a result of several federal laws including the National Firearms Act of 1934, which defines a number of categories of regulated firearms.
Quantico Tactical makes it clear that customers must go through strict NFA procedures in order to purchase any of these products.
In general, all NFA items must be registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. And owners must obtain approval from the ATF, obtain a signature from the local chief law enforcement officer, pass an extensive background check to include submitting a photograph and fingerprints, fully register the firearm, receive ATF written permission before moving the firearm across state lines, and pay a tax.
Machine guns manufactured after 1968 can be sold only to law enforcement and government agencies, exported, or held as inventory or “dealer samples” by licensed manufacturers and dealers.
Quantico Tactical has stores in Kansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Virginia.
In a nod of respect to the military, QT links the nearest military base to each of its locations on its website. Shoppers can purchase many products on the store’s website at quainticotactical.com
Paratus Business News reached out to the retailer regarding its new product line, and the store has not responded to our request comment.
