Today, Paratus Business News honors our troops.
Seventy-two years ago, the U.S. and our allies launched the largest seaborne invasion in history. The mission was called Project Overlord, but most of us know it as D-Day.
Beginning around midnight, approximately 24,000 American, British and Canadian airborne troops landed behind enemy lines. Just after dawn and throughout the day, more than 160,000 troops would cross the English Channel.
The most iconic of images is that of the soldiers landing on the beach in Normandy that morning and advancing into withering German fire and artillery. More than 4,400 were killed that day. Yet the Allies prevailed.
These days, when too many Americans can’t even recite basic U.S. history, we join those that still honor our brave veterans and current soldiers. In this case, we want to make sure you see what a 11-year-old boy did two years ago in Normandy.
Watch his video.
God Bless America.
