WASHINGTON, D.C. – As a result of a Democratic National Convention speech in which a Muslim father of a soldier killed in Iraq challenged Donald Trump to read the U.S. Constitution, the pocket version of the venerable document has been flying off retailers’ shelves.
On Sunday, the Associated Press reported that the National Center for Constitutional Studies pocket Constitution was a best-seller on Amazon. And the views of the National Constitution Center’s Interactive Constitution were up 16 percent as of Monday.
Clearly, others are jumping on the bandwagon. On Tuesday, a marketing e-mail from CampingSurvival.com promoted a 20 percent off sale of pocket Constitutions.
With the discount, the Cato Institute version being offered by CampingSurvival.com will cost just $1.92, and it includes the Declaration of Independence.
Of course, customers purchasing products from LaRue Tactical of Leander, Texas have automatically received a free pocket Constitution for years.
We think both offers are outstanding.
The CampingSurvival.com offer is available until August 9 and can be purchased here.
